Kyle Walker has once again defended Manchester City teammate Jack Grealish after Fluminense star Felipe Melo's criticism of the winger.

After the match, Melo suggested it was Grealish to blame for what happened and not Walker, who seemingly stood up for his compatriot. The 40-year-old claimed the former Aston Villa star was shouting "ole" following the victory and accused him of being "disrespectful". Grealish then tweeted, "Not once did I say ole", and now Walker has taken to social media to back up his team-mate.

City's win caps off a remarkable 2023 where they won the treble, the UEFA Super Cup and now the Club World Cup. They have become the first English side to win five trophies in a calendar year and this team will go down as one of the greatest of all time.
City are back in Premier League action on December 27 when they travel to a fast-improving Everton side. The Cityzens currently sit fifth in the table, six points behind leaders Arsenal but they have a game in hand.
