Messi has, however, kept the Miami theme going with his choice of attire at the start of a new calendar year, with the 36-year-old seemingly a big fan of the pink palette that he dons on a regular basis when turning out at club level.
Inter Miami have high-profile friendlies against the likes of Newell’s Old Boys – Messi’s first club – and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr to look forward to over the coming weeks, before then opening another quest for glory in a 2024 campaign that will see Luis Suarez reunited with a number of familiar faces at DRV PNK Stadium.
